Ebay Taking Strong New Initiatives Against Counterfeiters
As reported on Scott Wingos Ebay Strategies Blog Ebay has planned strong new initiatives in response to counterfeiting issues. The new initiatives are expected to be formally announced soon and will involve Ebay taking a closer at sellers who sell items particularly susceptible to counterfeiting. Among the initiatives are Paypal verification requirements, independent seller reviews, elimination of 1-3 day listings, and restriction in cross border trade.
Ebay is not publishing a list of which particular items will be targeted for these initiatives for obvious reasons.
In the long run, a positive move by Ebay and one that will ultimately benefit all users.
